By the grace of Goddess I have at last acquired my dream cel of Nuriko in his black outfit! This cel means so much to me, you have no idea! This is my favorite outfit of Nuriko's which is featured in some of the absolute BEST episodes of Fushigi Yuugi, in which Nuriko has finally given up his past living in his sister's shoes and gracefully accepting his life as a man who is destined to protect the Suzaku no Miko with his life. I made this particular Nuriko costume as my first real sewing project for a dear friend of mine who was easily coerced into cosplaying as Nuriko. What a good sport he is. ^-^ Thank you, Aaron! All the hard work and dedication I put into the costume only made me wish more that I had some sort of Nuriko collectable of him in the outfit, so began a desperate search for a cel of him in it. Regardless of the off-centerness of this image, it is probably on of the greatest shots of him in this outfit that I can ask for. His expression is perfect! It's just *so* Nuriko! He was illustrated SO well in this episode! I had admired this cel in Shawnna's gallery for a long time, but as a huge Nuriko lover, I never expected she would have to sell him. As soon as I noticed that she was putting him up for sale, I immediately snagged him and I am so so happy that I did. I sure have done quite a bit of cel-adopting from her. What can I say? She gets the awesomest stuff! (You can visit her gallery here if you want...) Anyways, thank you to Shawnna and to the general public for not grabbing this cel before I did. LOL Dream cels feel so good! *gives nurble cel the lovinz'* Scene Info: In this scene, Nuriko dodges a nasty blow from the Seiryuu seishi Ashitare during the most memorable battle in the entire series! Nuriko sure does give it his all. *sigh* What a man he is in this episode!
